Hi, I'm Victoria
I'm a front-end developer passionate about building accessible and user-friendly web applications with responsive, clean and dry code.
As a former competitive athlete and coach, now turned developer, I am someone who enjoys working together with other people, and thrive on finding solutions in a fast-paced and intensive team environment.
From my 16 years of experience as a competitive figure skater and then coach, I know what it takes to achieve success and be able to deliver satisfying results: Discipline, dedication, perseverance, attention to detail, but also teamwork as well as the continuous striving for improvement and growth!
When I'm not sitting in front of the computer obsessing over debugging the next little error, I'm most likely learning another language (somehow five is still not enough for me), taking fitness classes, baking my infamous plant-based maple polenta banana bread, drinking green tea or dancing salsa.

Box Office Boffo

A React application for box office geeks that lets users predict the top 10 highest grossing summer movies for each user-selected year and compare those user predictions with the actual positions. Team-based project with an agency-style work environment implementing Git Collaboration and a client-based approach. Created with Ana Vahcic, Antonio Arredondo and Aiden DiFonzo using the tmdB API.

Do you know that feeling when you just don't know what to watch anymore? Or maybe you just simply feel like geeking out on random movies or TV shows... Well, in that case say hello to your new bestie MovieFlix! Able to provide info on movies even dating back all the way to 1903, you won't fall short on finding your favourite movies, TV shows and actors on MovieFlix. Made with the tmdB API and Vanilla JS. - Paired Project with Justin Abante

A multi-page PSD conversion project for a (fictional) textiles company. Made with SASS partials for clean, organized and stylish code. Adhering to the fundamentals of semantic HTML, responsive web design (all the way down to 320px) and accessible code. Upgraded with Vanilla JS and functional UI elements for a more fun and interactive user experience.
